New Flagship Store in Geneva

Victorinox has opened its first flagship Store in Switzerland at Geneva in November 2009. Subsequent to the Brand Stores in New York, Tokyo and Paris, this is the second Victorinox Flagship Store worldwide after the store on New Bond Street in London`s exclusive shopping district that was opened in November 2008.

Inside this Victorinox Flagship Store in Geneva, the entire product range is on display over approximately 500 sq.m. spread over three floors. The Victorinox range includes not only the famous Swiss Army Knives but also household and professional knives, timepieces, travel gear, fashion, and fragrances.

Like the Flagship Store in London, the Geneva store is distinguished by interior furnishings typical for Victorinox. It mirrors in a contemporary way the core values and features of this traditional Swiss brand : quality, functionality, iconic design and innovation.

The "Center for Innovation" at St. Gallen University (HSG) and htp management consulting, also based in St. Gallen, analyzed for the very first time the innovation force coming from Swiss companies. From the 790 named companies Nestle was mentioned first in the ranking of the 12 most innovative Swiss enterprises. Victorinox accomplished a remarkable 10th position in the total ranking, scoring mainly in the chapters "products" and "sustainability". In the division "producer of consumer goods" Victorinox is listed 2nd sharply behind Nestl?. The authors concluded that for the perception towards the  public not the number of innovations is crucial, but the quality of the individual innovations. Therefore companies which consequently follow a "really innovative idea" over the years are perceived more innovative than companies that continuously modify and renew their products.
